From his origins in Sudan, musician Ahmed Gallab has collaborated as a touring musician with an esteemed roster of acclaimed indie acts, from Yeasayer to Eleanor Friedberger to Of Montreal.

He'll be preceded by DJs Marcus Doucette from 88.9 RadioMilwaukee and Bumbac Joe, as well as the exotic, Middle Eastern-stylings of local psychedelic pop band Painted Caves, which released one of the 10 best local albums in 2012 according to the Journal Sentinel.

The show is at 8 p.m. Thursday at Mad Planet, 533 E. Center St. Cover is $10.
